When riding a bicycle, speed isn't always the primary goal, especially if you're covering many kilometers. So, to accommodate those cyclists who aren't driven by competitive performance, Pirelli has designed the new P7 Sport tire, completing its range of road cycling clinchers.
Combining the characteristics of a training tire and an endurance tire, the new tire is designed for those seeking robustness, safety, and exceptional grip. Furthermore, it offers greater mileage than other Pirelli road tires developed to date.
Durability and innovative compound
The P7 Sport features a solid 60 TPI nylon casing with an additional layer of fabric called TechBELT. Positioned just beneath the tread, this cut-resistant tire is designed to ensure puncture protection in a wide variety of road and weather conditions. But the real innovation is the PRO Compound, with a formulation focused on mileage and grip. The latter is also guaranteed by the unique tread design; inspired by that of the P Zero Race, it features many more sipes to reduce the tire's warm-up phase and improve grip, even in colder conditions. In fact, the new tire, versatile and long-lasting, is designed for all-around use year-round.
