FULL DESCRIPTION
Maxxis Aspen AT 32x2.40 TLR EXO MaxxSpeed: Speed and Traction for Modern XC & Marathon
Developed through elite World Cup racing experience, the Maxxis Aspen AT (Aggressive Tread / All Terrain) tyre is the perfect answer to increasingly fast, technical, and demanding Cross-Country and Marathon tracks.
The Aspen AT retains the minimal rolling resistance along the centre ridge while introducing updated shoulder and intermediate knobs for enhanced cornering bite and traction out of turns and during quick line changes. The high-volume 32x2.40" size (ETRTO 61-686) provides a larger contact patch, allowing for lower tire pressures to maximize comfort, grip, and trail damping.
Key Technologies:
MaxxSpeed Compound: High-performance silica-based formulation that significantly lowers rolling resistance while improving wet and hardpack traction for instant acceleration.
EXO Protection: An extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls to prevent damage from sharp rocks and roots without compromising carcass flexibility.
Tubeless Ready (TR): Allows for tubeless setup using liquid sealant, delivering higher puncture resistance and a smoother ride quality.
120 TPI Casing: High thread count creates a supple, responsive casing that conforms effortlessly to trail terrain.
E50 Certification: Approved and certified for fast E-Bikes and E-MTBs up to 50 km/h (31 mph).
COMPATIBILITY
Wheels / Rims: Compatible with 32-inch rim diameter (ETRTO 686 mm standard).
Recommended Inner Rim Width: Optimized for rims with an inner width of 25 mm to 30 mm (Wide Trail / WT profile).
Setup: Tubeless Ready (run without an inner tube using sealant) or with a 32" compatible inner tube.
Bike Type: Cross-Country (XC), Marathon, Downcountry, and E-MTBs / Speed Pedelecs up to 50 km/h (E50 rated).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Q: What is the main difference between the standard Aspen and the Aspen AT?
A: The AT (All Terrain / Aggressive Tread) version features slightly taller and redrawn shoulder and intermediate knobs. It maintains the low rolling resistance of the original Aspen down the centre while delivering increased bite and control through corners and loose terrain.
Q: Can I run this tyre with an inner tube?
A: Yes, although it is a Tubeless Ready (TR) tyre engineered to perform best tubeless with sealant, it can safely be installed with a matching inner tube.
Q: Is this tyre suitable for E-Bikes?
A: Absolutely. It carries the E50 rating, making it fully certified and safe for use on E-MTBs and S-Pedelecs reaching speeds up to 50 km/h.
Q: What sealant should I use for a Tubeless setup?
A: We recommend an ammonia-free liquid tire sealant to protect the casing and rubber compound over time.
